(Using a lot of donated equipment, a survivalist grows bananas in Denver and sells power back to the electric utility company. House has 16" thick walls to withstand bullets.)

The rest of us may end up like this chap...

And it only costs one half-million dollars!

(-well okay, ~$200K of that is just for the lot in Aspen-)

Gee, what'll they think of next. :|

Nice BUT too "hi-tech" for me although I most likely wouldn't refuse the donation of the equipment if they wanted to do something at my place. That fella might understand the science behind the system, but it might prove interesting to see what happens when a $.10 part fails somewhere inside his set up. There are 300,000 people in Aurora and 600,000 next door in Denver. How many folks are there per square mile in your part of Heaven Andy? I think I'll vote to stick with Andy, I am willing to bet my chances of survival would be better. I know there would always be food on the table too.

Ooops, I heard Aurora not Aspen, My bad! If you take some of the people out of the equation, I would still vote for Andy. There is a reason that homesteaders kept going west and didn't stop to settle in those mountains, it's called winter.

He got it back in 1983 when America experienced its first energy crisis...?

If that's true, why is there so much oil today?

Where did the 'crisis' go? Could it be that the oil companies conspired to create an energy crisis?

The cost of using this technology doesn't include the cost of waging oil wars to get cheap oil...so it really would be affordable at half the cost...of war....

Hijack over....

TN Andy has a huge advantage over this guy: The entire nation doesn't know where Andy lives.

One EMP and that place becomes nothing more than a cabin with 18" thick walls, everything he has in computer controlled..... I place my bets on TnAndy too.

Totally useless as it's UNATTAINABLE to 99.9999999999% of the working population.

Elitist pipe dream, nothing more.
